Unlike the real carnivals, everyone comes out a winner in this version.

Kids are given a set amount of play dollars to use at various games just like at a real carnival.

It costs 1 play dollar to play the game and when they win they are given 2 play dollars. If they don’t win they are given their dollar back.  The goal is to finish the carnival with the most play dollars.

At the end of the carnival, the person with the most play dollars gets first choice at the prize table. The next person with the most chooses their prize and so on until everyone gets a prize.

This type of carnival is not designed to be a “life lesson” about winning and losing.  It’s about having the kids participate as much as possible.

See the Games section for carnival-type of game suggestions.
