Wood board, hammer, finishing nails, colored thread, black paint, pencil.
Paint board black and allow to dry. Draw design in pencil onto board. Carefully hammer nails along the outline. Nails should be exposed at least a quarter of an inch. Select a color of thread and tie onto a nail. Run thread to another nail and wrap around once. Continue onto another nail. Once finished with that particular color of thread, tie off at nail. Select another color of thread and continue until your design is complete.
“To make curves, place nails close to each other.”
“Crisscrossing threads can create interesting patterns and color combinations.”
