Sponge Stamping

Materials Needed:Sponge-Stamping

Thin household sponges, scissors, paint, paper.

Cut shapes out of sponge.

Pour paint into dish. Dip sponge into dish, dabbing excess onto scrap paper. Dab onto paper.

Brian says:

Allow paint to dry before overlapping with another.

Create a shadow effect by using a light and dark tone of the same color. Dab a dark color on the paper. Allow to dry. Dab the light color slightly over from the previous one. The dark color will now look like the shadow of the light color.

Use sponge stamping to personalize stationary, gift bags, wrapping paper, furniture or walls (if Mom doesn’t catch you!)
