Can or jar, rubber bands, glue – preferably carpenter’s or wood glue, sticks and branches, pine cones, leaves, tree bark and anything else found on the ground.
Put a rubber band around the can. Gather sticks and branches and cut the lengths so that they extend past the top of the can by at least one inch. Lift elastic band from can and insert a thicker branch. Continue all around until covered. Apply glue between branches. Lift elastic band to insert smaller branches in between the larger ones. Apply glue. Remember to keep the can upright so the entire project sits up. Glue pine cones, leaves, bark or pine branches around the bottom. Allow to dry.
“This is a great craft for summer camp or to make on a camping trip.”
